Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson or popular as Emma Watson (born 15 April 1990 at 6.00pm) is an English actress and model who rose to prominence playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the Harry Potter film series.
Emma Watson has earned her several awards and more than £10 million for work on the Harry Potter series. Emma Watson born in Paris to Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both British lawyers.
In 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Philosopher‘s Stone. , the film adaptation of British author J. K. Rowling bestselling novel. Casting agents found Watson through her Oxford theatre teacher. Emma grew up in Oxfordshire but now lives in London during her university holidays. Emma first demonstrated her talent for acting at Lynams School when, at the age of seven, she won the Daisy Pratt poetry competition for her recital of The Sea by James Reeves.
In 2007 Emma accepted her first role outside of the Harry Potter films playing Pauline Fossil in the BBC’s drama Ballet Shoes. Emma has also worked closely with organic and fair trade pioneer People Tree, helping founder Safia Minney develop a teenage range for Spring/Summer 2010.
